Discover Cilento

Cilento is an ideal destination for a holiday with many historical and cultural attractions.

Cilento and its wonderful National Park, the second largest in Italy by extension, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. One of the most important biogeographical complexes in Southern Italy.

Cilento has been an inspiration for writers and artists such as Ernest Hemingway. The region is also known for its Mediterranean diet and its cuisine based on fresh fish and home-grown vegetables.

"La Brezza dell'Alento" boasts a privileged position for discovering the most enchanting places in Cilento: in a few kilometers you can visit the archaeological excavations of Velia where Parmenides gave life to his pre-Socratic philosophical school, known as the Eleatic School, Paestum with the best preserved temples of Magna Graecia in Italy, the Oasis of Alento and Morigerati, the whole area of internal Cilento, including Rocca Cilento with its magnificent recently restored medieval castle, the Capelli di Venere, the most romantic waterfall of Southern Italy, Palazzo Vargas in Vatolla.
